Hi there,

I'm thinking of chucking out my HP N36L Microserver case and getting a proper HTPC case as I'm finding it's abit clunky for the living room, not bad but trying to make space.

Anyway, basically want to take the bits out of the Microserver, can't see that being a problem but for the life of me can't find any details on if the motherboard is a standard size or has custom measurements. I know it's not an off the shelf jobby obviously...Just talking dimensions here etc.

Also concerned a little about the PSU, is that a standard size would anyone know?

Thanks very much for assistance with this, hopefully with these answers can get on with deciding on a suitable proper HTPC case. :)

the outer dimensions are 21 cm x 26 cm x 26.7 cm WDH, and the mobo is virtually covering the bottom surface so if its anything its flexatx.

As for the chip its soldered on so wouldn't bother removing it myself, hope it helps.

Cheers mate, much appreciated. It's ok I'm aware of the CPU situtation it's going to be a straight transplant I think. If it goes pear shaped then it's a good excuse to get a "proper" HTPC setup etc....although...this was nice and cheap but there we go.
