HP ML110 G7 32GB RAM - Cashback

The HP ML110 G7 Xeon E3-1220 is on a nice £150 GBP cashback offer right now

Has anyone ever installed 32GB of RAM in one of these babies yet? and if they have how and what type of memory have they used.

Does anyone know if NON-ECC Unbuffered works in these machines?

officially HP only support 16GB Max, but have seen a seller on eBay selling these boxes with 32GB ECC memory, i wanted to find out if NON-ECC works as its much cheaper.

A business in USA is selling these boxes with 32GB RAM, The memory they are using is ECC, the configuration is 8GB x 4, if you are on the latest BIOS it works, but to put 4 X 8GB ECC is very expensive, what kind of memory does the Fujitsu take? I'm looking for a server that can take non-ecc ram.

Almost made the mistake of getting 2xKTH-PE313E/4G rather than 2xKTH-PL313E/4G. Pretty reasonable for ECC RAM at £27.48 per 4G stick.

I have also ordered my server today, but decided to buy Crucial 4GB DDR3 1333MHz ECC Memory Module CL9 at a great price of £23.60 per stick, 16GB for only £94.40!

I decided against going for the 8GB sticks as they are too expensive and not too sure what will actually work in this box

Surely someone has an Unbuffered 8GB stick they could try?

Im desperate to find out, as a 32GB G7 would be absolutely perfect for me to create a beefy home lab from.

I phoned a company called Aventis Systems (USA) and spoke to the tech support team regarding our question will the ML110 G7 E3-1220 take 32GB of ram, he basically said as long as you are on the latest BIOS it will accept 32GB of RAM,

This company is happy to sell you 32GB ram for a ML110 G7 E3-1220 and has confirmed it will work, i don't have part numbers etc would be nice to find out part numbers.....

is this the proof we been looking for?

Hi guys,

Don't obviously post on here but based on the info benofishal gave I ordered an ML110 G7 last week (The cash back has been extended to the end of July) and 4 x Kingston KTH-PL313E/8G.

It came with the latest BIOS on it, popped the RAM in and it's on with 32GB of RAM. I'm now running a memtest on it to make sure it's stable but it's looking good.

iLO 3 is great as well. Here's a picture of it posting with 32GB of RAM.

I got an email earlier from a supplier of these saying they expect the cashback on the ML110 G7 to move to the Pentium G840 model (instead of the Xeon E3) from the start of August.

Spot on Chri5, Cashback offer has ended, glad i bought 2 of these boxes.
