HP N54L Windows Home Server 2011 Boot Drive

Hi Guys, just in the process of building my server, I've got several 3.5" and 2.5" drives, I've gone with the 5 x 3.5" setup (5th one being hot swap in the top 5.25" bay)

The Bios is updated with the custom bios to get the faster speeds etc.

However I've come across a dilemma.

I was going to use the internal USB socket to boot Windows Home Server 2011, but I don't know if it's best to use a actual 32gb USB stick or plug in a 2.5" optical hard drive and some how secure it on the top of my hotswap drive before I put the casing on.

I know there's quite a lot of people on here with this make of server so would be grateful for some advice

For a full server OS I don't think flash memory is a good idea? Hyper-V server which doesn't do a lot is more suited.

Someone has told me that I should get a SATA PCI Express internal card and use a 2.5" to boot the OS, would this work?
