Hey guys just to give some context I've owned this monitor for about 2 years or just under and basically bought it on a semi impulse as I got a new rig and wanted to upgrade to 240hz and it was discounted by a fair bit at the time. Anyhow I have a few questions and just keep in mind I'm a "hardcore" fps player, I don't play anything else apart from Apex and performance is the key thing for me but there are some things with this monitor I've noticed that are a bit odd.
1. Is this monitor good for a "hardcore" fps player who only cares about performance? Would switching to a BenQ be an improvement?
2. I've noticed in game when I set the response time to "Level 4: Fastest" I seem to be getting some weird kind of image sharpening effect which sort of lessens and "worsens" depending on the level of movement, is this normal for a high response monitor? I have literally not touched a thing and if I go back to "Level 3: Fast" this sort of effect is not present. I'm not even sure if it's a necessarily bad thing maybe even looks better and makes things pop more but just want to know if it should be happening?
3. I've read that the "Level 4: Fastest" setting causes some sort of input lag on this monitor, is this true? It is the main reason I stuck to "Level 3: Fast".
Thank you and appreciate any replies!
