Hey guys,
New in this part of the forums (normally hang in GD) and I have a question, if anyone can help me.

I have a couple of P2000 SAN's that I use and recently came across that I can chain these together and gain more storage/abilities through having linked storage. The thing is, I have followed a white paper from HP on how to do this but for some reason, the second enclosure doesn't show up in the management console.

Has anyone here have any knowledge on linking HP SAN's together?

Cheers,
Ben

Hey,
I am trying to link them together as two shelves basically

Something like this picture. I must be doing something wrong though. I am just doing picture 1 and 2 but nothing happening. The Controllers detect that the expansion ports are active and the secondary shelf shows a device plugged into its SAS port but nothing more. Just wondering if I need to map a volume or something...

P2000s are a pain in the behind when it comes to firmware upgrades. I have done it across our fleet a couple of years ago and it was touch and go when it says applying then looses connection to management.

We lost an entire array about 4 years ago when the management wrote bad data and corrupted the array. About 4TB of live client data gone *poof* Thank goodness for DR...

When you don't touch them, they run well.
