Not sure if this is the right place to post, but I recently got a good deal on the above SAS/Sata controller (based on the LSI-1078) and trying to use it to build a small home server/nas.

I'm using an old 939 system, the board is an MSI K8N Neo 4, with a sata hdd and ide dvd-rw. I managed to install WHS no problems, but then when I added in the raid card, it boots, showing the card bios messages, and any attached drives, but then gets stuck at "Verifying DMI Data Pool"

I've tried disabling the onboard controller (both sata and ide) removing ALL drives and putting the boot drive on the p400, but never get any further.

Any ideas? Ta muchly

There's only one PCI-express slot which is 16x which is where the card is currently, and I have a PCI graphics card.

After it detects the array it moves on to Boot from CD? then Verifying DMI, but I cant use any keys at this point. Very odd.
