Hey

I have got a HP Pavilion Gaming 15 ak000na laptop that has a 2 graphic adapters, one is a Intel HD 530 and the other is an Nvidia GTX 950M.

I keep getting errors popping up on windows 10 saying Display driver has stopped responding and has recovered, I get this when am just looking at pictures on the internet ( I do a lot of photo editing )

I don't use this laptop for gaming and its mainly used for photoshop and that's it.

This error always happens when I am looking at photos on a web site called viewbug.com for example.

As this laptop is only a month old would you say this is more a hardware or software problem?

Thanks for any help.

Software driver problem possibly or could be a browser issue (are you using Chrome for instance if so try disabling hardware acceleration?). I bought a MSI Gaming laptop for my son. Initially it had the nvidia drivers from MSI that are on their download page. I updated the drivers to the latest nvidia ones just to see whether it would be more beneificial. The laptop then crashed and display driver stopped responding all the time.

I then returned to the MSI Nvidia drivers for the laptop and it worked fine again. I would make sure you have the nvidia drivers from the HP website for your laptop first.

Sometimes manufacturers tweak the GPU drivers for laptops and its not always best to update them from the Nvidia website.

I would just check yours.
