I'm hoping someone with experience on this, it is a common fault, HP released a BIOS update that fixes this. However the mod Bios enables SSD and HOT swap

HI I have been working on this problem for days I have the mod bios installed and disabled the NIC to install Windows Server 2012 R2 with Update (x64) - DVD (English), This installed fine, but when I enabled NIC in Bios windows freezes at the login screen, is there anything I can do for this maybe a new NIC if so which one will work ok?

Thanks

Very odd! I have server 2012 on my mircoserver flashed to latest bios with no issues.

However if you want to try another nic look at the HP NC360 with the low profile bracket, there very cheap from a well known auction site.

LOL think we have a misunderstanding, the modded bios allows you to use a SSD and also hot swap the 4 SATA bays plus a few other things, The Stock wont allow any of these but does have the latest driver for the NIC to allow windows server 2012

Since I started this thread I have managed to find and install the latest modded bios, so I now have windows server 2012 on a SSD :)

Perhaps you're not using the latest modded bios? There are a few scattered around, so it's hard to find the newest one - found it on a Russian site last time around.
