its a new mac with the latest OSx, i attached a HP 8500 printer via a hub and ethernet, it found it and prints fine.
when I select the printer and click the SCAN option it sees the scanner talks to it displays "preparing to scan" and gets stuck there, it printer says scanning but nothing happens and the mac scan program crashes..
two PC's scan over the network fine from this printer
both the auto mac installed printer option to scan and the HP scan program do the same.
any ideas bear in mind two PCs can scan fine from this printer.. im not a mac person usually it jsut works!
