Do you think that HP case designers sit around a table and discuss how to make the case as difficult as possible to close and then they all laugh at what you have to do to add a SCSI pcie card.

Anyone else find the hp server cases more difficult to work with than you think is necessary?

I've played "hunt the mounting slot for the BBWC battery module" before but can't say I've struggled bunging in expansion cards.

I haven't troubled myself with hardware in years!

Used to hate fishing around inside rack mount servers everything was too tight and I was generally half way up a step ladder (why is it always the ones at the top which die!)

Only ever had issues with old hardware! Some of the old HP DL5xx G1/G2 are huge, yet getting access to anything within is impossible without removing all and sundry! Thankfully that's all a thing of the past, even the 1u cases are easy to work with.
