HP Smart Array E200i...

i've got a server with a HP SMartArray E200i

there are 4 disks (max) connected to port 1. These disks are in a RAID-5 array

can i connect a further 2 disks to Port 2 and add them to this array?

Unless the server was a 'p' (performance) model - e.g. G5p then you'll need an additional cable to connect bays 5 and 6 to the second port on the SA controller.

"HP SAS 4i to Mini SAS 4i 31 inch/.79 meter cable" (411100-B21) may be the cable you need, but I'd double check. Also it depends which server it's for as I've read that the DL360 G5 with the E200i can only support a max of 4 drives.
