Hello,

My younger sister is interested in a HP Touchsmart PC. Something along the lines of a HP TouchSmart IQ775 Desktop PC.

I have been into a electronic superstore to try one and it's fine and dandy.

It costs a lot and the touchscreen bit is fancy. The specs aren't great by your high standards, but keep in mind the quietness. It's using laptop innards to make it so.

Being an all-in-one unit, I worry about bits breaking and would personally advise on an extended warranty. In the electronics superstore, this amounts to a lot. This is why I'm tempted to see if you could build the thing using separate components.

So the questions are:

1) Does anyone own a similar unit that can tell what's it's like on a day to day basis?

2a) Is there anything similar that would provide this functionality at a lesser price?
2b) Can this be bought through OCUK?

3) Can you buy a Vista compatible touchscreen wide screen monitor?

4) If we did buy this unit, are they any decent 3rd party warranties that would cover it?

Many thanks for your help
