i currently have this monitor it is very good.. but am in the process of upgrading to sandybridge and probalby a gtx 580 within next few weeks.. so should i also think of a monitor upgrade also? thx for all advice..

I have the exact same screen! Got to say it has served me well. I think you probably should look at upgrading, a GTX580 would probably be wasted at 1650x1080. I have been looking into upgrading recently and I would recomment lloking at a U2410 or ZR24W, or even a U2711 if your feeling flush (check out tft central for some really good in depth reviews on all of these)
