was thinking to upgrade my 4years old samsung 225BW with a 24" or even a 26" if possible.

I wanted to avoid 16:9 ratio as I enjoy a lot more the 16:10.
so with the exception of:

Samsung SM-P2450H which I just like its design.. (~250E)

from a practical point of view I only see 2 viable options in that price range.

the Samsung 2433BW (~220Ε)
and the
HP W2448HC (~260E)

I don't mind its glossy look.. I just worry a bit cause I don't really know anything about hp monitors.
what caught my eye lets say was a youtube video of their 25.5 edition next to samsung's T260HD

I really don't know if I can stretch that extra 100 for the 26 version so that is not really the point here.

My main question is.. are HP good for monitors?

it is a good suggestion.. but for the last 2 years I live in Greece..
so I would guess postage fees + currency difference doesnt make it worth.
if I choose DHL, it goes for around 350Euros.
for 340 i can get the T260HD from samsung.. and have it same day..

what.. I really want is to find out what's the case with the HP monitors.
I know you have a 24 model that is almost better than Dell's.. but it is way outside my price range.

How come you dont bring that HC series from HP?

Well, I've got a w2408h which is the predecessor to the w2448hc and I love it. It's a beautifully designed screen, with some decent (albeit slightly limited) height adjustment and despite the fact that it is only a TN panel, it gives a darn good picture.

Personally, I absolutely love glossy screens so it was the only choice available to me at the time, but it was a good one.

I think that still comes out...

it 's the same but with no remote and only 1vga input right?

Can I ask something stupid...? I the screen size a proper 24? or 23.5 etc..?
because of the thick bezel.. I can't make out.

I know there is 25.5 version out there as well.. unfortunately I can't find it anywhere
