HP White screen issue ( WSOD )

Got a HP Pavilion ZD8000 thats suddenly developed a white screen problem.

It works great to 1024x768 in bogstandard Windows' own default driver, but as soon as you try to use ATI Drivers, it fails.

This is the same with XP, Vista, and also Linux too!

I have looked on the net and found that hundreds of others have the same issue but apparently, there is no cure, and worse is that HP dont give a stuff about it.

Anyone care to offer anything ( Preferably a link to drivers that do work really )

Ok, try another way.

I have been in touch with the HP Retard department who eventually said that the hardware has failed somehow! - Cheers for the heads up sherlock.

Now, ok, they said to get it to a HP repair place etc etc etc, its going to cost more than its worth etc etc etc

Now, my thoughts are this :-

Since so many people are having the very same issue, then its clearly a faulty design. A Faulty design means that people should be able to get it fixed or replaced for free?

Am I right there?
