i wear glasses normally only for driving but should also for close up now. Cant read watch date and day closer than about a foot away.

If I order prescription inserts for the HP headset
1 should they be reading glasses prescription which I will have to get done or even closer as lense in headset is only couple inches away.
2 distance prescription, so pretty much same as driving range.
3 set for a specific focal length if so what is that for the headset, how to find out
4 a combination like a varifocal or is that to much compromise
5 likewise if I get contacts specifically for headset should they be alround close up or distance

Help.....thanks

You should use your distant prescription, as VR headsets are normally fix focussed around 6 feet. I use distance prescription lenses for my Oculus Rift, and I normally have to wear VDU distance glasses for computer work.
The best thing for me is that in VR I can read things closer with my distance prescription than I can in real life. :D
