HP Z600 Compatible GPUs

Anyone here have an idea of what non-Quadro cards I can use in a HP Z600? I was looking at a GTX 970 but it requires an 8-pin molex connector and the HP only has a 6-pin one which limits me to a GTX 960.

The other thing that worries me is that these cards are double thickness and would they fit inside the machine - I don't see why not but I don't want to get one and find it don't fit… As for power requirements the system has a 650w PSU so that should be ample.

GTX 970 Compact has two 6 pins.

If you have the Z600 tower you should be fine

Thanks Biffa. But if the GPU has two 6-pins don't they both need to be plugged in? If not won't it kill the PSU or GPU?

both need to be plugged in yes

You can get Molex to PCI-E cables cheap though

You can also get SATA to PCI-E cables.
