HP ZR2240w monitor good?

the main reason i'm thinking of getting this monitor is due to the ips panel than the usual tn panels.

the monitor seems all good, got good reivews and so on. the only worry i've can see is that it has a 8 ms response time, is this too high for fps gaming??

games i'll probabley be playing within the next year is skyrim & battlefield 3.

Seems a close one between this and the Dell 2412m, im stuck between them!

you wont find many IPS panels with a faster response time. Best you'll see on paper is 5ms G2G and even then it's only a figure on a spec, and doesn't really reflect real life performance.

The ZR2240w is a very good all rounder if you want a 21.5" sized screen. The 24" ZR2440w should also be good (I'm just reiviewing it now). ZR2240w review

or maybe the dell's ips version?

it's seems a lot nicer monitor all round & cheaper. also i don't need speakers in my monitor.
