Better than my Dell 2407 Rev 04?

I am thinking of changing the old gal for a newer model and the HP ZR24w 24" Widescreen LCD Monitor has really caught my eye...having read the review here:
http://www.tftcentral.co.uk/reviews/hp_zr24w.htm

But this is is almost a like for like, in the sense that it is another 24".

If I went bigger, I have been looking at a 27" and perhaps the Dell U2711 ?

I have seen HAZRO's are making a come back...but company history puts me off.

My use is mainly gaming with surfing / web stuff taking up the rest of the time.
I never watch films or do precise colour work so wide gamut isn't required really.

Would like a low input lag, hig speed quality screen, sorry no TN as I don't like the restriction of viewing angles and colour changes especially at this size.

Anything out there that I should be looking at?

Cheers in advance.

I have a 2407 rev 3 and a ZR24w; the ZR24w is good but I prefer the 2407. Certainly not worth replacing one with the other.

Interesting....you don't notice the improved input lag of the HP?
May I ask if you game much?
Notice any benefits at all??

Hmmm....perhaps the 27" is the way forward then.

Thanks for that.

maybe wait for one of the Hazro 27" screens, would probably be in the low £600 area, a bit more for the LED version and iirc Hazro screens are known for their low input lag (and poor warranty service but that shouldn't be an issue now that OCUK handles that if you buy from them)

Is it the Dell 2407WFP-HC or just the regular WFP that you guys are discussing?

We're discussing the regular 2407WFP, because ademcg has an A04.

I also have a 2407WFP A04 and just like my 2007WFP I've found it be a brilliant monitor. I've never used a ZR24w, but to me it doesn't seem to be worth upgrading to. It has a better panel as it's IPS rather than PVA, and it does have display port, but that shouldn't be an issue for you. Unlike the 2407WFP, it doesn't have component or composite inputs. I've read outstanding reviews of the Dell U2410, and I think if you were going to upgrade it to another 24" monitor, I think the U2410 would be the one to have. If you have the money to spare, then I think the U2711 would be an excellent upgrade, and much more worthwhile than replacing your monitor with a ZR24w.

Indeed - I love my 2407, amazing piece of kit. I only want to replace it due to lack of warranty.
