HP ZR30w and U3011 Input Lag comparison

For all you gamers out there considering these monitors I did a little side by side video with desktop stretched over them both to show the input lag. to be honest it's probably not that noticeable in games, but it's still there all the same.

Might be interesting for some.

So which one was lagging?

What if you control it from the other monitor?

The Dell on the right is visibly behind the HP on the right, it makes no difference where you click on the window or which inputs were used on the graphics card. The slight lag is the time the Dell takes to process the image, whereas the HP goes straight through.

But like I said you can't really notice it in game though, interesting to see it side by side though.

Do you game split screen or just extended desktop?

If you game single screen on it then you wont notice any difference, but the lag will make you a faction of a second slower to react which is can be a lot in a FPS.

Yeah to be honest I only tried 1 monitor at a time for gaming, couldn't really feel the lag, but it must be there though. I actually just prefer the HP's default colour settings, the Dell seem's to have a "pinkish" hue to everything, you wouldn't really tell unless you see them side by side.

I have to thoroughly recommend the ZR30w, it's an awesome monitor, very good for gaming.... crysis looks amazing, as does BF2 BC2.
