I dont know if i'm barking up the wrong tree here, but I thought I remembered a while ago that if I took out a HPI check or similar I would be entitled to 2 weeks insurance if I then went on and purchased the car in question?

Am I completely mad or could somebody provide a link for me to have a look at with regard to this.

Thanks

SoliD

Yeah I'm pretty sure it was on Autotrader too.. but HPICheck also offer this for 7 days....

Here you go...

Would it be cheaper to do a HPI check on your car every week instead of insuring it properly?

LOL

6.99x52 = £363.48

Hmmmm... I wonder if its fully comp?

When doing a HPI check, can you do it on the Registration alone, or are the VIN, V5 numbers etc necessary?

You can do it on just the reg, but you get limited cover if it turns out to be dodgy. If you provide the full detail then they should guarantee that the car is as said.

I got 1 week free insurance with an RAC HPI check once, and used it :) Very handy.

Where does it say on there about the free 7 day insurance? Or am I completely blind? :P
