HPI checks - quick question

I wanted to check out a 2002 52 Reg Mini Cooper with 15,000 miles on the clock (cost £8995). The car has FBMWSH but doesn't have an mot so it could have been clocked.
It just seems fishy because he has 3 identical Mini coopers (same age, all green, white wheels, white wing mirrors etc) one with 15,000 on, one with 25,000 and the last one with 35,000 (or there abouts)
What do you think? I havn't seen the car so I don't know what to think. Its from a dealer by the way.
