HSBC payments down

grrr just tried to order a pc with a HSBC card, but payment didnt work. A friend tried to buy some stuf in town with his HSBC one and it was all refused. Shop lady says all HSBC has been messed up today.

Anyone know anythign about this or know where I can keep an eye on the status!? Theres only 2 of one of the items I want left in stock and its taunting me!

Thought something must be up with HSBC. As I filled my car up at BP a couple of hours ago and my HSBC debit and credit card were both declined, felt a right twit.

So you are telling us that all of HSBC is messed up today, and putting a Post on OCUK about it is going to speed it up?

Do as McDaniel said! and ring HSBC! or....ring the store selling what you want and ask them if they can hold the items till the HSBC situation fixes itself, it can't be more than a day.

Yep HSBC are a bit on the annoying side! ive just booked a flight with easyjet and paid with my hsbc account card, and it got declined :confused:

which i know was rubbish, so tried again and it worked fine. How unreliable!!

Yep, something's totally screwed today, no transactions are going through anywhere. Had several mates with HSBC cards try and use cash machines or pay with stuff on card and nothing is going through.

Should have seen the queue at the petrol station... :eek:

My card was refused twice in a resturant in Glasgow but was accepted in the cash machine and book shop!

Thank god for this. Thought it was HSBC placing their random block on my card like they seem to do if I spend more than £2 in one fortnight :rolleyes:

3 cash machines just went "dunno" to me about 2pm today, was alright by 4 though.
