how do :)

am looking at a Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro to cool my e6600 on a gigabyte DS3 mobo...

would like to get it running sweet at 3 gig with complete stability and minimal effort so would this hsf do the trick or do i need to spend more dolla?

Yea for the money the ACF7 is a great fan - any other main stream coolers will provide better performance but at a slight cost compared to the AC.

Ye the Arctic Cooler is good up to a point, won't perform quite as well as the more expensive coolers, such as the Noctua, Tuniq and Thermalright Ultra 120. However, unless you don't go for 3.4-3.6Ghz overclocks it should be fine, might start to struggle if you really push it.

well in that case if we're talking a tenna or maybe 15 quid for a much better overclock then recommend away people :) (as long as it aint too noisy, trying to build a reasonably quite setup despite the fact that i still think i'm speccing a raptor...)

HOLY CHRIST!!! back in the day when i got my last pc (well, 3 years ago now) cpu coolers were quite compact neat sort of things...

i opened up the noctua box when it arrived this morning and i thought there was some mistake, bigger than a flippin' house!

either cpus run a hell of a lot hotter than they used to or i've just gone overboard like a good'n :D
