HSF for OC'd Opteron 170 in Desktop Case

I'm putting together a PC for work which unfortunately involves installing it in a desktop ATX case.

The CPU I'm using is an OC'd Opteron 170 running at 2.6GHz (it will run comfortably at 2.67GHz but thought I should tone it down a bit for reliability!)

As I'm sure my current AC Freezer 64 Pro will not fit in a desktop case, can anyone recommend a lower profile HSF to use with this CPU at these speeds? I was thinking along the lines of a Zalman cooler (the radial type) but I don't know how effective these are at cooling AMD CPUs.

Please help as I want to order the parts today!

case dimensions?
It would help really wouldn't it! LOL

It's a standard ATX desktop case measuring 435mm x 450mm x 133mm (WxDxH respectively)

The case I haven't actually decided on yet but this one is a bog standard case with these dimensions. An alternative case I'm thinking about is an Antec NSK2400 measuring 445mm x 414mm x 140mm although this is labelled as a micro ATX case so not sure if this will be compatible.

Any recommendations on a reasonable looking desktop ATX chassis would be appreciated!

I'd look at the xp-120 for a heatsink , just 'cause my case is tighter than a nuns un-holys and it fits in there nicely.

Can't really comment on cases tho I may later if I can be arsed to find out what one I got my mum.

Can't find the XP-120 you're suggesting - what make and model is it? Will it be enough to cool an Opty running at such an oc'd speed?

Will be very grateful if you could find out what case your mum has :)

The XP-120 is made by thermalright, not sure its still in production, but it was very popular a year or so ago. They also make an XP-90C which is an all copper sink, which would do very well in a small space.
