htaccess help with redirects

Hey all

What is the best way to redirect a whole domain name for example if i had x.com and i wanted all traffic to go to y.com

but if x.com had x.com/page2.html or x.com/page3/page3.html it would always redirect to y.com

is it a full domain redirect they call it?

What would be the best way to do this?

You'll probably want something like the below in the htaccess for x.com:

RewriteRule ^(.*)$ https://y.com/ [R=301]
