HTC Desire and scrolling

My issue with the current system of the way it stores texts is that it can be a HUGE page. Is there any default way of getting to the top or bottom?

My Desire tends to suddenly go to the top and I have to scroll all the way down the texts to get to the bottom. First off that bug shouldn't be there But yeah, in one question...

Is there a default way of getting to the top and bottom of text messages without having to sit there and scroll all the way down?

I felt your pain until about a week ago. Scrolling thorugh a 1000+ text conversation is not pleasent at all! I switched to a different text app called "Handcent SMS" (free in the marketplace). This gives options to "Show earlier messages", means that by default only the prior 30 messages or so are displayed. I take it you are having the bug where the text jumps to the top of the list and you have to scroll back down to the bottom?

Right I've been using Handcent SMS for a couple of days now. The only gripe I have with it, is that when I recieve a message it's telling me twice due to the original text message system is also running. Just a bit of a mess. Any way of disabling the default text system in some way or another?

Yes, go into the default messaging app and disable notifications, that scrolling bug is quite annoying on the desire!
