HTC Desire No Data?

My HTC Desire has lost its data connection. I was browsing the web, then it stopped receiving any data. Rebooted the browser, nothing. Wouldnt load any pages despite a full signal and 'H' in the data indicator part.

So I turned 'Mobile Network - Connect to Internet' to Off, and then waited 30 seconds, and turned it back to On. Since then, my data indicator has not returned - all I have is the signal indicator. No G, no H, no 3G, no nothing.

I've rebooted the phone several times, I've turned connect to internet on and off over and over, I've been into the menus to check its all set to be on - all to no avail.

I'm on Vodafone. Any ideas?
 
This has happened to me a couple times (T-Mob) I ended up taking the battery out. Waiting a few mins and then putting it back. When the phone started I had my data connection back.
 
Are u using any power management or apn switch's ?

I had a problem once where the APN control I was using basically changed the name of the APN in order to disable it but then got in a muddle and never changed it back. Had to manually change it, check you APN settings.
 
I found apndroid did this to me although rebooting worked..
The desire has a built in widget called mobile network or something which works much better.
