HTC Desire rooting and flashing

Hey guys,

Me and the missus both have TMobile branded desires and weve both been having issues recently with net speeds, signal and messages refusing to send.

I'm thinking of rooting and flashing them both now as I believe it may be TMobiles ROM causing the issue.

Whats the easiest way to root these now and is there generally a ROm regarded as the best for these?

I would say MIUI - XJ
Bought my Desire on release and pretty much tried them all. Cools V3 I would say comes second. Most ROMs are just versions of others with apps removed and a few tweaks.

Insert Coin 1.1.1.

I am yet to try this method, but the easiest way to root (& s-off) is to use Revolution (http://revolutionary.io/)

If you don;t fancy rooting etc, just run the latest RUU from HTC. You will get the stock firmware unbranded gingerbread
