Surprised to find there isn't a thread on this already! This looks like a fantastic upcoming phone; rumoured to have a 5" 1080p screen (1796 x 1080 with 126 of the 1920 used for onscreen keys), S4pro (quadcore S4 A15) at 1.512GHz with Adreno 320 GPU and 4G and smokes current high-end handsets specs-wise.

Looks to have a very thin bezel and non-removable battery from supposedly leaked photos in the links - let's hope they put a decent sized battery in it. I've gotten used to taking a spare battery with me for my note. If it doesn't have a fixed battery and they include a Wolfson DAC and microSD slot I would pick one up shortly after release with no hesitation. It certainly makes the Note 2 look like a very lazy refresh by Samsung.

It may be showcased on September 19th with rumours of a potential late September/October release date.

This does look very interesting.

I think the size would be okay, it's closer to the S3 than the Note anyway. As long as the bezel is small it should be fine to handle.

What if this is going to be the Nexus phone offering from HTC, and it comes with stock Jelly Bean... a dream phone?

In typical HTC fashion, they seem to have abandoned the One S and X (not entirely, but somewhat) as they didn't take much market share off Samsung.

I read it's supposed to ship with ICS, but I guess it's difficult to know considering it's such early days.

I really hope they have a removable battery or a large capacity battery - 1800mAh for the one X is puny.

Well I've owned the Note since release and have to say, everything else feels like a toy now.

Can't say I've ever had any bother with the size in my pocket either.

However I do have chip shovels for hands and I put the Man into Mancubus..!! :D;)

You know what they say; "chip-shovel sized hand, big fryer!"!

I can't help but feel sorry for this Mancubus chap you speak of.:(

The Razr HD Maxx does look pretty good; 4.7" screen in a handset the same width and just a little longer than an iphone 4s made from kevlar and aluminium is pretty impressive, and tempting if HTC balls up the DLX (or whatever it ends up being called) with a crippling battery life or other blindingly-obvious achilles heel. The only thing that concerns me is whether Motorola are going to be crap at rolling out software updates...
