HTC HD7 Self Factory Reset

Weirdest thing, had my phone plugged in by USB to the works PC to charge lke I've done on several occasions with no issue. However the phone just turned itself off, when I turned it back on it had reset to factory default! Why would it do that?

Short-out, a surge, internal memory failed the hash check on boot, whole bunch of things can cause this typically.

Annoying, it seems that the Zune software doesn't offer a restore like iTunes and the iPhone. So I just have to set everything up again.
