My dad lost his HTC Desire (but doesn't want to claim on house insurance), plus I had the old iPhone 3GS laying around after my upgrade.
He got his new sim card ordered through Carphonewarehouse and popped it in no problem with that but when he wants to check emails or load up Safari away from the house's WI-FI it says something along the lines of No Cellular Network.
He popped into O2 and they said you'd have to speak with TechSupp on the phone so rang up entered in his phone number and they said sorry speak with Carphonewarehouse. He phones up them and and they said they can only add or remove his bolt on of 1Gb internet use as the contract was taken out under the HTC Desire. The guy then said I can't tell you how but if you google it you can change the settings and get it to work.
long story cut short.... I can't find anything online about changing these settings!
