The Vive is said to be better on image quality, but then it is still £200 more, which is a lot for some people, myself included!

4 hour battery in what? surely the controllers last longer than that.

But both are only 1080x 1200 , and you're right about the price it's too high.

My gf wanted one of the VR systems for birthday, which one offer the best experience?
She wont be gaming a lot, more of a application use.

The rift is cheaper I think, not sure if OcUK have any though

Oculus is actually said to be better on image quality. Vive screendoor slightly more visible. Also Vive only has ATW Oculus has both ATW and ASW
That said the Vive lighthouse system is superior to Oculus tracking system. With the newish hand controllers for the Vive they are probably about equal on that part now (before I would have said Oculus hand controllers much better than Vive wands)

If you lean towards Vr experiences with big room to move around then Vive.
