WITHOUT the knuckle controllers!
What the hell are HTC smoking!?

I have made this bundle available from all the parts we sell separately for anyone who wants one, and doesn't already have a vive, and who can't wait for when they surely release a bundle later in the year. I think they wanted to just get the headset to market first and recoup some of the investment in retooling the factories before going for full production run for bundles and hitting the Xmas retail period hard.

Our first tranche of stock of VIVE PRO shipped today. We only received 18 units which means there are lots of people who pre-ordered who will still be waiting. We shipped on a first come first serve basis. Our next stock is due to land with us on the 11th after which we should be able to ship to all who have pre-ordered (unless we again go over that allocation in the meantime).

To everybody who will be receiving them tomorrow I hope you enjoy and everybody who is still waiting thanks for your patience!

Thanks Overclockers! Got my Vive Pro yesterday, so glad I ignored the doubters and moaners and jumped onto the pre-order asap.

This HMD is awesome. If anyone is thinking that a Samsung Odyssey is a decent alternative to the Pro, it isn't! I've got an Odyssey and it's not going to be getting much playtime anymore.

Just had word that the second tranche of stock has been delayed by 1 week. I haven't been given a reason why but they assured me the stock has been delayed across the UK, so it isn't just OcUK customers hit by it. The next 36 units will be landing next Monday or Tuesday (16/17th)! Over half of these have been pre-ordered already. If you want to be sure of one in April I'd get a pre-order on if you hadn't already!

Apologies for any inconvenience, thanks for your patience!

The price is a little bit out of my current budget so I'll either have to wait until the price comes down or save up for a few months.
I may wait for the official wireless adapter to come out later in the year anyway as then I can do both upgrades at once and move my VR stuff into a bigger space away from my PC so I stop hitting the corner of my case.

Someone kindly photoshop a VR headset on this :)

First impressions...

Not had long on it yet due to the controllers running out of charge :o

The SDE is pretty much none existent. You can see it if you really look for it, but it's nowhere near the level of the normal vive. For me, with the vive, it was like I was looking through a course mesh - that doesn't occur here.

Is it perfect? No. But with the vast reduction of the SDE, things look more "solid" and there is a definite sensation of presence. Such as when in Vive home, you can see the light reflecting off the wooden floor - the detail in the leaves waving in the breeze and birds flying over - it creates an immersion that wasn't there for me with the first headset.

Regarding the headset, it's much more robust. It feels like a quality product (as it should for that price!) and much more comfortable. I had the deluxe strap on the old vive, but this feels much better.

When the controllers are charged, I'll try out all my old games and report back.

Thanks for the feedback!

Look forward to some game impressions!
