I use a Panasonic DMR-HWT250 (1 Gig) PVR If viewed via the recorder on every BBC channel I'm seeing html source code on every square CM of the picture

The odd thing is if I record the programme, the html code isn't recorded and no other channels other than BBC are affected.

Just wondering is anyone else with Panasonic PVRs affected?

Amazingly albeit it is internet enabled it isn't actually connected, I've found if I pause live TV for a few seconds followed by play, the problem is resolved.

I'll put a photo up when I've got 5 to spare.

This is what I'm seeing https://imgur.com/a/y4FcM

I've since been in touch with the PVRs supplier, apparently they've received an email from Panasonic & all DMR-HWT250 users in the UK are affected currently Panasonic are working on a firmware update to solve this problem.

I'd have thought if this was such a big problem it would have been available to find on the Net.

Does that mean you're using it with the software it came with from the factory? Could be the issue.

I guess it does, it should auto update @ 03.00 AM providing the unit is plugged in, which it is. TBH I never checked what version the unit had originally, currently it's running on Ver 1.12
I've forcibly tried to get it to update, but so far sweet diddley squat is available.

SORTED!!!
I moved both the PVR & a TV to where the router is, hard wired the recorder to the router and BAM!!! a more or less instant firmware update took place from 2.1 to 2.19 after which the html had gone.
This begs the question of why wouldn't it update over the air through the TV aerial apparently it should (signal max, signal quality Max)

html no longer available :D
Thanks

The update has been available since 15/3/17

Yep, it does have Wifi, but it's out of range & I doubt if I'd have connecting anyway, I'm not a fan of wifi
