HTPC Advice

Can someone help me choose a good board mATX for an HTPC I am building for the bedroom?

Money is kind of not an issue so I want something that will be feature rich and powerful with good chipsets. I will be adding a seperate GFX so dont need to worry too much about the quality of the onboard ones.

It will be used for other things like encoding and general software too.

Gigabyte 780G AMD chipset? Or 780GX but thats gonna be more expensive...

I'd prefer Intel if possible as I already have a C2D Chip from another build.

I'd also like to make sure its compatible with the new ASUS XONAR HDMI or similar.

P43/P45 sound ideal for you then.

Without integrated graphics you are pretty much making anormal PC for home theater cet up and not an HTPC per se.
