HTPC Advice

Looking to build myself a HTPC for playback of 1080p MKV files.

Looking to spend the least amount of money of course. I will be using XBMC and Windows 7 for my playback of 1080p files.
I dont need a optical drive and I alredy have a 3.5" Hard drive to use.

So would you OCukers be able to help me on a spec please.

just grab any of the 780G am2 / am3 mobos and a cheap cpu and a couple of gig of ram job done

780G is old and was poor even when it came out eyars ago.

The best option in an ION based system, the Revo for example. Loads of guides for this + XBMC.

Do you need a pc? wd live instead?

there was nothing wrong with the 780G stuff for the Ops requirements and he is looking to spend as little as possible
