Ok, so the deal is;

I want to build a HTPC gaming rig, as a project really.
Straight away i'm faced with thre task of finding the right case to fit a full size gfx card in with enough space for sufficient cooling.
I basically have 3 systems that i can use for this project;

A. E6600, Gigabyte P965 DS4 (atx)
B. E2180, Gigabyte P35 DS3R (atx)
C. E2140, Gigabyte P35 DS3R (atx)

Currently option 'A' is in my sig below and runs at around 49° under load
So, i'm wondering if the same overlock could be sufficiently cooled in a HTPC case, or should i use option 'B' (or 'C') and overclock that, seeing as they tend to OC well at stock volts, thus retaining fairly low temp.
As its HTPC i also want to put a dual tuner card in. It will also have 1 x sata hdd and 1 x sata dvdrw in as well as 2gb ram

Am i asking for too much do you think? If not, please recommend a case taking into account:
1. Need to fit full size pci-e gfx card in
2. Need good cooling to allow OC'ing of core2duo. If i chose a smaller case, would a low profile cooler do the job?
3. Obviously as a HTPC case needs to be as small as possible considering by requirements.

Thanks for any advice offered :)

I made my HTPC using an LC-13 from Silverstone.

Core2Duo E6420 - Clocked to 3GHZ
ASUS P5W DH Deluxe
4GB - Geil DDR800
ATI HD2900XT 512MB
3x HDD's
Hauppage WinTV
Windows Vista Ultimate

It has 2x 60mm fans at the back and 1x 92mm fan at the front.
Cooling is OKAY although the ATI card does get quite hot when playing games and so screams a bit :)

that IS a normal sized htpc case. of course you can go smaller if you want to give up certain things.

similar to deadman, i got the lot in there. didnt need a tv card though, i got 2x92's at the front and 2x80's at the back...oh and an 8800gtx instead:) Silverstone lc17-b

:( Sadly, i know. But i was gifted 2 x gigabite P35 DS2R's, 2 x E2180's and 2 x 2Gb ram.
So i have 2x gaming htpc's to build. :rolleyes:

I do like the look of the blakc Silverstone in your pic james, thanks :)

Biffa, it did cross my mind, but how many MATX HTPC cases are there that will accommodate a full sized gfx card the x1950 pro or 8800gt? Thats what i'm aiming for eventually.
