htpc and xbox 360 connex

i currently have all my floorboards up (house renovation) and am looking to run cat5e cable from my main rig and broadband connex in spare room to lounge
where i will have both an htpc and xbox360

will i need to run 2 x cat5e cable to lounge or can i come off the back of the htpc to connex to the xbox?

I don't want to go wireless btw

You could run one cable then leave a switch (and connect the 360 and HTPC), but it's probably easier to use two.
