Looking for an HTPC Case that would be able to fit the following spec,

Core 2 Duo e6300
2gb Corsair Value Select Ram
Asus P5LD2-SE Mobo
1x250GB+1x80GB HDD's(one has Vista one has XPMCE)
Hiper Type R 580W PSU
2xDVD RW Drives, Could easily take this to 1 quite happily
8800GTS 320MB(most crucial is to make sure this fits)
Zalman 9500LED Cooler(obviously possible clearance issues)

So what can you guys recommend? The silverstones seem like pretty decent value and have just about everything I would want. Its just looking at the reviews I cant gather any info on what kind of GPU's and CPU coolers they can support.

I would prefer not to change my CPU cooler in the hope I can just transfer the Mobo as assembled from one Case to the HTCP one! :)

Any help would be super!

I would think any of the larger size lascala from silverstone would be ok - ie lc16 size -link

I'm 99% certain a 8800GTS would fit in it (it fits in a sugo) and be cooled relatively well with all the fans etc, but silverstone have been very good in the past in relation to queries so I would just shoot them off an email if no one else can say for definate.

Yeah I certainly liked that one due to the fact it also comes with 2 Rear exhaust fans but looking at the description it is not compatible with the 8800series :( think it must be due to the drive cage thats there in the middle!

yeah well i dont mind removing one of the racks anyways.

I have emailed silverstone about what cases are compliant with the 8800series and that should help me narrow down the choice, but iv been reading nothign but good things about these cases!

what kind of temps you getting from your system?

Pretty much looking for it to be quiet anyways, bored of the usual standard ATX cases tbh which is why I plan on going this route :)

I think due to the lc20 and 17 having the crossbar in a different area it should allow me to use my Zalman 9500LED cooler! Having looked over the cases I think a silverstone is the best quality

Just got this from Silverstone :)

Dear John,

Thank you for your iterest in SilverStone products.

Sorry, we do not offer a compatibility list, but the 8800GTS can fit nearly in any case
of Lascala and Grandia Series, but also the Crown or Sugo series can be interesting for you..

We can suggest you LC03, LC10, LC13, LC14, LC18, LC20, GD01, CW01, SG01.

All these cases can house the 8800GTS and a Standard ATX Motherboard* (SG01 only Micro-ATX).

For your needs, the LC20, CW01, GD01 are maybe the best.

MfG / Best regards

Stefan Galow

So a nice list of cases I can use with my setup :) Seriously considering the GD01 now as I like that design :)
