K, I was gonna build a HTPC a while ago but it never happened. Now I have a spare system (E6300 - 7300GS [1920x1080 support already tested today] - 2gb corasir XMS2 - AS Rock Conroe1333-GLAN) which I'd like to run on my Samsung HD tv (LE40A656A1), the tv has a VGA input which works great but I'm wondering what sound card I should use? I've got an old Technics stereo which has audio input (phono leads) so am just wondering if there is a card I could use which will out put to this or should I look towards a home theater style dvd/hometheater combo??

So in short what I'm saying is, I can get the video to the TV, but what should I do to get half decent sound? (I like some bass btw)

Thanks in advance!!

3.5mm jack to 2 rca's cable should do the trick like this

straight out the head phones jack on the sound card? If so will pop down to that well know electrical components store tomorrow and see if they have one!!
