It will basically be for watching 1080p MKVs and Blu-rays and maybe a bit of emulator gaming (up to PS1).

The Quad core is way overkill for an HTPC - you would be better off with a lower wattage x2. For the case I would recommend having a look at the Zalman HD501 (its a bit more but it looks good IMO). This is a basic build - just add HDD + Case.
