Hi, this is my first build, what i want is a Blueray player/HTPC (XBMC) that is capable of playing modern games to a decent standard.
It will be connected to my Onkyo TX-SR 608 amp

Its main uses will be -
Watching movies (From the Synology DS1812 ive ordered)
Playing emulated games through Hyperspin (seeing as ive had to sell my games room) (Dolphin and PCSX2 require clock speeds of 4.40)
Playing some modern games, mostly racing and FPS... wife will no doubt want Skyrim
and casual internet browsing.

Any suggestions/help is appreciated.

i built a highish end pc not long ago, not to this level tho.
my main issue was fitting everything in. How big is that case? looks similar to mine, exactly the size of a standard amp. if so, be careful with gpu sizes, might not be an issue

Hi, case dimensions: (W) 445mm x (H) 167mm x (D) 325mm, so similar to an amp.
The case is long enough to fit the 11" card, there should also be over an inch top clearance for cables.

its doable then, my case looked terrible inside, one thing i would get if possible is a rear exhaust card, in such a small case i felt i didnt want the gpu pumping out heat into the case. i wonder if others agree
