HTPC GFX Card - is this too high specd

I will be playing Blue Ray and HD DVD at 1080p and also 1080p MKV files into my 60 inch Full HD tv via my amp.

So for simplicity I really want sound and audio to go through HDMI cable if possible I think this means ATI only.

Will this GFX card be good - or will it be too noisy / wasted - thanks in advance.

Thanks V much for your urgent help as will be ordering tonight / in the morning.

PS does anyone know if this comes with the dongle to change the output to hdmi...

If your are not going to play games (i.e. media only) then it is a waste. One of the 2600 series passive cooling cards are a better bet.
 
I had heard that they did not have enough grunt for blue ray at 1080p and only the newer ones worked probably with audio through hdmi
