I've been trying to shut my HTPC up for ages but everything I do just isn't enough finally I think I've decided on a solution. Under my living room at the front of the house is our cellar so I am planning on putting a PC on a shelf under the floor where the TV is and running the cables up through holes in the floor.
This should cure my noise problems
but am I going to introduce a whole set of new problems by putting a PC in a coldish dampish cellar? It's not expensive kit so I'm not bothered about shortening it's life span just don't want it to die in a week!
