I just have an old Maxtor 320GB drive in it. I stream everything from my server box in the loft which has a pair of Samsung 1TB drives in RAID1, and a 200GB system drive.
The NSK2480 has two 3.5" drive bays so you could have a couple of drives in those, plus another in a 5.25" bay if you wanted. My old Maxtor is probably as loud as a pair of Samsung F1s anyway!
I presume you're talking about RAID1 in your system? If you're using it as a file server too and you want some redundancy then yes, go for it.
