Anybody know of any display issues with this motherboard/gfx card/tv? i can sometime get the display to work but most of the time after being shutdown the display won't come back on.

The computer is booting fine into windows as the VFD display on the case shows system specs/temps etc and this only works when windows has booted to desktop.

I have conflicting stories of it being the tv not recognising that the pc is not connected and it needs a firmware upgrade (EDID) but i have also heard that its to do with the DVI out on the gfx card not sending the signel to the tv.

I have tried the computer on a pc monitor with a vga cable but still no picture and i can't try the onboard gfx over vga as it's disabled in bios.

Also PowerDVD 7 doesn't recognise the onboard Intel X3500 gfx as capable of playing blueray so that won't work.

I'm not really sure what else to try.

Thanks HummuH1

Until i crack this i'll reset cmos which will enable the onboard gfx for now, i've bought PowerDVD 8 Ultra which supports Intel G35.

Gaming will have to wait till a sort it out, the gf is going nuts cause i spent a wad of cash on my HTPC and she can't watch a film on it lol

Everything works fine with the onboard graphics now after i removed the hd3870 and reset the cmos, blue ray plays well on PowerDVD 8 Ultra.

From reading further it may well be a problem with the DVI to HDMI dongle which Sapphire supply with the card, i'll buy cable and try that.
