Hi all,
I recently bought a Raspberry Pi naively thinking I could hook up my external USB, get XBMC running and maybe a NZB client and away I go. I've since realised it's too tight on resources.
I would like a system that:
The cheaper the better. I have a PS3 for DVD/Blu-ray and games so these aren't required. I see my options at the moment are OcUK prebuilt system such as Virso 5000i or a Mac mini. The Mac mini being the simplest. I did price up an entry level own-build but it come out more expensive than both.
At the moment it'll be a internal or external hard drive for storage. As much as I'd love to have redundancy taking the system to include RAID (i.e. own build) would smash the price above £600. I'll probably buy a drobo or something in the future. Any opinions on backup solutions would be appreciated though.

I would like a system that:
- To be used for movies/TV shows, although Spotify streaming would be a bonus!
- Plays on the TV (hook it up via HDMI. PS3 available but prefer XBMC/Plex interface).
- Streams to Apple TV in another room.
- Streams/content available on my Macbook Pro.
- Streaming to iPad would be a bonus but not required.
- I can install SABnzbd on (all major OS' - I'm thinking technical constraints here)
