Hi all,

I'm looking at building a relatively cheap HTPC.
This will be used predominately for streaming movies via XBMC and occasional internet usage and possibly some light gaming.

I was looking originally at getting a Zacate based system but heard that there are still some issue with Flash .
So my current dilemma is do i go purchase a Intel Pentium G620T + mobo, wait for Llano to arrive or just get a Zacate system?

Now if i go with the intel setup i can purchase parts now and set up a system but do i need an additional onboard GFX card? I want to send audio via HDMI to my AV receiver so i guess it needs to be able to bitstream.
I guess if i wait for the Llano based chips that will have a more powerful GPU on board. Will they use a new mobo socket?

sorry for the questions. i'm just confused.

the problem with flash is that it doesn't use hardware acceleration, so relies on the cpu.

so getting a more powerful gpu to help wont make a difference

this is fine for normal flash, but when trying to view HD movies via a flash player, this can have problems.

the latest versions of flash are supposed to include hardware acceleration support thou.

althou i never got it working on my ION yet
this could change thou as they continue to update and improve flash.

do you watch a lot of HD movie content via flash?
if all your doing is streaming movies, then i doubt u'll be using much in the way of flash anyways
