HTPC problems booting

Right,

I've been using the following HTPC E6600, 800GB, 4GB DDR, 8600GT + Blu-Ray Read/Write for the last 8 months along with my Thor HDC100 4-1 HDMI switcher without any problems at all. This was both with my toshiba LCD and my new Panny plasma. Strangely the other day it just refused to boot, blue screened ect ect. Got in under safe mode but still couldnt sort it. Had resigned myself to a re-format and waving bye bye to my non-backed up media.

Just moved my dedicated room and was getting ready to start the process of re-installing. To save hassle I connected the HTPC direct to my Plasma instead of through the switch. Suprise suprise booted fine and no problems at all. Summed it up to luck and went on my merry way.

Went to put it back in the switch and bam, wont boot again, get start up screen with the Intel flash then blue screens and only starts in safe mode.

Plug it straight back into the Panny and of course boots no worries.

Assume this is going to be GPU related but really am drawing a blank, anyone wiser than myself and bright ideas? As stated I am using an 8600GT via DVI-HDMI cable, has worked for many months and no major changes. Have used system restor to like 3 weeks ago and still will not worth through the switch. (switch does still work fine with everything else)

Thanks in advance.
